Упражнение № 4. Перепишите предложения, используя краткие формы (I'm, he's, we're, isn't, aren't и т.д.).

Упражнение № 5. Составьте грамматически правильные утверждения из предложенных слов.

Упражнение № 6. Возьмите 5 любых предмета перед вами (телефон, чашка, книга). Для каждого составьте три утверждения с is (о свойствах, местоположении).

Образец: The phone is black. It is on the table. It is useful.

Упражнение № 7. Напишите о себе короткий «рекламный текст», используя am/is/are, чтобы описать свои сильные стороны как сотрудника, друга, брата/сестры, сына/дочери, отца/матери.

Образец: I am reliable and organized. My work is always in time. I am a good team player.

Упражнение № 8. Выберите известного персонажа. Опишите, кем он является, каков он, где он обычно находится, используя только is/are. Сделайте 6-8 предложений.

Образец: Sherlock Holmes is a detective. He is very intelligent. His home is at 221B Baker Street. His friend is Doctor Watson. His methods are unusual.

Упражнение № 9. Составьте загадки, описав 3 профессии, используя только is/are.

Образец: This job is difficult. The uniform is white. The workplace is in a hospital or clinic. Care and attention are very important here. (Кто это? — Врач/Медсестра)

Упражнение № 10. Представьте, что вам нужно описать разыскиваемого человека для полиции, но вы можете использовать только глагол to be и слова, которые с ним сочетаются. Опишите его профессию, внешность, характерные черты, местонахождение.

Образец: He is a taxi driver. He is tall. His hair is short and dark. He is from Glasgow. He is dangerous.
